Food Cupboards
The Belfast Rotary Club raises funds for our local food pantries by hosting two pancake breakfasts per year as well as making a small donation in honor of our weekly presenters.
Food Cupboard Donation
Proceeds from the Belfast Rotary Club’s Pancake Breakfasts were distributed to four local food cupboards and the soup kitchen. Club member Marjorie Crowley gave out the donations to, from left, Rev. Scott Baker of the Little River Baptist Church, Ralph Harvey of the Searsport Food Cupboard, Rev. David Abbott of the Greater Bay Area Ministerium Food Cupboard and Jared and Cleo Alley of the Northport Food Cupboard. A representative from the soup kitchen was not able to be present to accept the donation. In accepting the check, Rev. Abbott said, “Thank you for feeding others so that we can feed the people of Waldo County.” Each of the representatives said use of their food cupboards is up substantially this year.
